DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. –For the 8th year in a row, People’s Trust Insurance is collecting toys to donate to children this holiday season. For the 2nd year in a row, they are proud to partner with the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) for this admirable cause.
“The holiday season is all about giving back, so it’s an honor to be able to come together with the Broward Sheriff’s Office and Women in Distress Broward County to donate toys to the children of our Deerfield Beach community and make their holiday season a little brighter,” said George Schaeffer, the company’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
Women in Distress is a nationally accredited domestic violence center that provides safe shelter, crisis intervention resources, and raises community awareness through intervention, education, and advocacy. In past years, People’s Trust Insurance has partnered with Women in Distress to donate hundreds of pillows and kid’s pillow cases called Cuddle Covers.
“All our employees have been bringing in toys and are striving to top last year’s total of more than 300 toys! Together, we are proud to help bring a little joy to the children at the Women in Distress Shelter this holiday season,” Schaeffer added.
