People’s Trust Insurance, a Florida-based home insurance company, wants all Florida homeowners to make sure they have the right protection and coverages for their home and family. And, what better day to do that then on June 28th, National Insurance Awareness Day. National Insurance Awareness Day was created as a day for everyone to review their insurance coverages. The day celebrates the history and necessity of insurance by encouraging all people to understand the important role insurance can play in their lives.
“People’s Trust Insurance is proud to participate in National Insurance Awareness Day,” said Brooke Hasson, People’s Trust Marketing and Communications Director. “Ensuring you have the right coverages on your home and the right partners in the event of a loss is critical.”
In addition to calling your agent to ensure you have the right coverages, you can also conduct an annual inventory of your home’s contents. People’s Trust urges all homeowners to take pictures and videos of all content in their home. Filing and saving a digital copy of all receipts for big purchases can also help to prove when a purchase was made and the actual cost paid for the item.
“A lot can change in a year, so conducting an annual assessment of your insurance coverage is a great way for consumers to ensure they aren’t missing coverages, endorsements, or even discounts they qualify for,” Said Hasson, a licensed 20-44 Personal Lines Insurance Agent.
