Club Car is recalling roughly 1,800 of its Precedent I2 golf and transport vehicles because of a potential falling hazard. The hip restraint on the passenger side of these vehicles can break, creating the danger.
The recalled vehicles vary in model, color, and size, but all are from the model year 2012. Models can be identified by both model number and serial number located to the right of the accelerator pedal.
If you own a 2013 model, be sure to check the wheel recall associated with some models. It was issued in November of last year.
The car models included in the recall are:

If the hip restraint breaks or cracks, a passenger can fall out the vehicle. Club Car has received one injury report so far where a person bruised their ribs after such a fall.
Stop using the product immediately. Club Car will replace the hip restraint for free through an authorized dealer. Dealers can be located through the Club Car website.
