Stephen Rohde
Chief Financial Officer
Stephen Rohdes brings over 30 years of insurance industry experience in financial and general management to People's Trust. After completing his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Wisconsin in Accounting and Business Administration, Rohde worked in a multitude of management positions and joined the insurance industry in 1978. He served as Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer of the Mutual Service Insurance Companies between 1989 and 2003.
From 2004 until accepting the Chief Financial Officer position with People's Trust, Rohde was in private practice as S. Rohde & Associates, Inc. working as a financial consultant to the insurance industry with a focus on assisting start-up companies. Rohde's also has served on the Board of Director's for Direct General Corporation and Lion Insurance Company; two property and casualty insurance organizations.
Rohde's significant experience in managing financial matters for insurance companies has been a valuable asset to People's Trust in their early development.
People's Trust has a comprehensive and substantial reinsurance program. The program has been designed to protect People's Trust policyholder surplus in the event of a major catastrophe. People's Trust has placed catastrophe excess of loss reinsurance up to the 100 year modeled return period for its entire portfolio of insureds
